Company overview:
Convey Law is one of the largest specialist legal conveyancing companies in the UK.  They act for a wide range of discerning private clients; many of whom instruct them though the Internet.  They also act for a range of corporate introducers of businesses including Estate Agency Chains, Mortgage Lenders and Mortgage Broker Networks.

They are driven by their desire to exceed clients’ expectations and are universally recognised as a high quality provider of legal conveyancing services to discerning private and corporate clients.  They have at their disposal one of the most effective specialist conveyancing teams in the country.

Their professionalism is underpinned by their accreditation by the Regulatory Body, the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, and the Investors in People National Standard.

What the judges said:
Convey Law recognises that their ability to grow their business depends on their ability to recruit, train and develop their workforce.
Established in 2004, training and staff development is at the core of this business and will be key to ensuring that they meet their ambitious growth plans.  Their commitment to people development has seen all of the senior management team progress from junior roles into their current positions, in addition to seeing an increase in staff retention and an increase in the quality of client care too.

Judges were particularly impressed with the company’s creation of the Conveyancing Academy, an online facility which has been commissioned by the Conveyancing Association to provide bespoke online learning for Paralegals.  This facility will be adopted by the top 100 conveyancing companies in the UK.

Why did they enter and what has it done for their business:
In 2016 we decided to step outside of our conveyancing world and enter the Chamber Business Awards. We wanted to test ourselves against the best and the Chamber Business Awards enabled us to do just that.

We won the Welsh Winner of Winners Award and both Regional and National Awards for our investment in skills and people development.

We have always believed in investing in our people and were the first in our industry to achieve a Gold Investors in People Award in 2015.  We developed the Conveyancing Academy as the first online portal for training our staff last year and it was fantastic to have the Academy acknowledged as leading the way in terms of professional training for Conveyancers.

Why would you recommend businesses enter?
We have achieved significant publicity as a result of entering and winning the Awards.

We had a fantastic time at The Brewery in London.  The event was very exciting and the competition between businesses did the Award ceremony justice.

The Chamber commissioned a video for Convey Law following the event and the PR in the local press was significant.

We would thoroughly recommend the Awards for those businesses looking to sell and promote themselves in a competitive business arena.
